Theatre at Terra – The Calling

The calling is one of the stage plays featured in the Theatre at Terra line-up every Sunday. Directed by Omonor , it is a series of hilarious skits that loosely focuses on women in the clergy.

With deft handling it delivers alternative views of a struggle within the church and the issue of women as ministers.

The writer and director are quick to note that this play doesn’t aim to make a statement for or against the issue of gender in the clergy; the play has been written with an indigenous Nigerian feel to it.

None the less I must say it definitely gets you thinking.

Here are some outtakes from the play.
